Criminalist / Entomologist
Tom is currently a senior criminalist with the Westminster, Colorado Police Department. In addition to being a criminalist Tom is finishing his Masters degree in Forensic Entomology from Colorado State University and has been assisting law enforcement agencies with entomological analysis for the last ten years. At the P.I.G. site Tom focuses his research primarily on insect development and succession as well as the effects of scavenging and body recovery methods. This data is then combined with case work data on insect succession, and seasonality in an attempt to better understand the local bionomics of these forensic indicator species.
