Kathy Ireland has been a police officer in Colorado since 1978; 16 years as an Investigator, 7 years as the Chief Investigator for the Seventh Judicial District Attorney's Office (6 western slope counties), 10 years with the Gunnnison Sheriff's Office, former Juvenile Diversion counselor for Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties, former City of Gunnison Police Officer. Kathy has extensive hands-on crime scene experience including homicide investigations, juvenile and sex crimes investigations, patrol officer, communications officer and detention officer. She has attended over 50 specialized training courses in areas ranging from interview and interrogation, crime scene management, investigative techniques, homicide, sexual assault, child abuse, abuse of the elderly, evidence collection and preservation, fire and explosives, and major CAE management. Kathy Ireland has worked with the FBI, CBI, DEA, BATF, US Treasury, and various law enforcement agencies across the country and state. She is currently working as a criminal investigator for the State of Colorado's Department of Regulatory Agencies, Divison of Registrations performing investigations for the licensing boards and programs created by the Colorado Legislature to ensure a minimal level of competence of licensees and to protect the public. The Division provides public protecton through its regulation of over 230,000 licensees within more than 30 professions and occupations. Kathy has been a member of NecroSearch since 1993. She is also a member of IAI and RMD OF IAI.
