Julie Kovats Fulton

Julie Kovats Fulton graduated from Colorado State University with a Master's Degree in 1991.  She has an Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology (emphasis in Forensic Anthropology) and a Master's in Zoology (Biology).  She worked for the Adams County Sheriff's Department Crime Lab from November 1992 to September 1994, and then at the Aurora Police Department Crime Lab from September 1994 to September 1999.  Since June of 2000, she has been working part-time at the Fort Collins Police Department as a Latent Print Examiner.  She is a Certified Latent Print Examiner and has experience and interest in crime scene investigation, crime scene archaeology, and skeletal analysis.  She also has been working with fellow NecroSearch member, Al Nelson, on training her dog, Kuma, on human decomposition scent detection for the last few years - and Kuma's doing very well!

Julie is a member of the International Association for Identification (IAI) and
the Membership Secretary for the Rocky Mountain Division of the IAI.  She is also an IAI certified latent print examiner.
