Jim Reed

Geologist / Software Engineer:

Jim Reed joined NecroSearch in 1991.  His primary responsibilities within the group involve the application of computer-based exploration techniques.  Towards this end, Jim has developed software that synthesizes the spatial data from the multiple disciplines within NecroSearch into excavation targets.  Jim’s academic background includes the University of Wyoming and Washington University in St. Louis (BS in geology).  Former employers include NASA, Freeport Exploration, AMAX Exploration, and Wold Exploration.  In 1983, Jim founded RockWare Incorporated, a geological software company that develops and markets programs for archeology, civil engineering, environmental, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), hydrology, mining, petroleum, and academic research.  RockWare currently maintains over 10,000 clients on all continents.
