Cecilia Travis
Naturalist

Cecilia Travis has been a volunteer naturalist for Colorado State Parks for twenty years.  She was graduated magna cum laude from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in geology and while a Fulbright scholar in New Zealand, earned a Master of Science degree in geology from the University of Otago.  She is a Graduate Gemologist and a Native Plant Master.  Ms. Travis has worked as a geologist, gemologist, an interpretive seasonal ranger, and currently, a special educator for Denver Public Schools.  She teaches classes on animal sign recognition and helps train Parks docents.
